Jura A1 Review
Super automatic coffee machines allow you to convert beans to coffee just at the touch of a button, while also enabling you to customize the drink to your taste. However, some espresso machines are bulky, taking over your counter space, as well as your wallet. The Jura A1 coffee machine perfectly addresses these issues–to transform coffee beans for Jura machines into the perfect drink, read on.
Design
As mentioned above, you won’t have to change your kitchen to fit this device—like the old version, it is solid and slim. It is the smallest machine in the Jura collection, measuring 20.5 inches high, 12.7 inches wide, and 18.6 inches deep. Despite its small size, it’s a sturdy twenty pounds. With a grinder, water tank, bean hopper, and a complete brewing system, it’s a compact yet detailed machine.
The Jura A1 comes in Piano Black and Piano White, and its sleek design and simple color matches any kitchen. It has a stylish, chrome appearance, and its front panel is clutter-free, having only the wide drip tray and an adjustable coffee spout suitable for short and tall glasses. Its intuitive control panel is located on top. Instead of a full display, Jura chose classic old-style buttons where you will choose between brewing with seven grams of coffee indicated by one coffee bean or ten grams shown by three coffee beans. The control panel also has symbols that will light up to remind you when maintenance is required.
Brewing
The Jura A1 has a five-ounce bean hopper that preserves aroma and reduces the brewing time by half. If you can’t tell the physical difference between the old Ena Micro 1 and the A1, what makes A1 better is its upgraded grinding and brewing system. It also features an upgraded multi aroma G3 grinder, which can be manually adjusted. This conical, adjustable model is quieter than most grinders, and can be adjusted using the slim dial on top of the device. If you prefer using decaffeinated brew or pre-ground coffee grounds, you can utilize the practical bypass doser.
The other advantage of the brewing process is the addition of Intelligent Pre-Brew Aroma System (IPBAS) and Pulse Extraction Process (PEP). These unique features were specially tailored for specialty coffees. When you pre-infuse grounds with hot water at short intervals, you can extract within a short time, creating a more refined coffee aroma and taste.
Finally, what determines the final taste of your coffee is the quality of water. The A1 is equipped with a Claris filter inside the thirty-seven-ounce water tank and has the first filter cartridge that will make your espresso perfect.
Quality and Versatility of Coffee
While other machines focus on milk frothing and brewing options, the Jura A1 focuses on one thing and performs that job perfectly—making top-notch coffee fast. This is the reason this device is perfect for coffee enthusiasts and those who like occasional cappuccino and have a milk frother. Its Pre-Brew Aroma System and PEP allows the grounds to have complete flavors and aromas, creating a high quality coffee. It has a variable brewing unit that ranges from seven to ten grams of coffee and only brews one shot at a time.
